What You’ll Do:
Packaging Design & Creative Development
- Design compelling, retail-ready packaging from concept through production, such as color boxes, internal blisters/tray inserts, labels, silk-screen printing, and user manuals.
- Manage multiple packaging projects, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Develop branding elements and logos for new and existing collections, ensuring alignment with established brand guidelines and visual standards.
- Create packaging that is visually compelling, production-friendly, budget-conscious, and impactful in a retail environment.
- Prepare presentation materials and mock-ups to effectively communicate design concepts during meetings and in response to client requests.
- Conduct independent trend research and collaborate with product development to incorporate buyer feedback into packaging designs that achieve retail success.
- Keep up to date on packaging trends, materials, and technologies.
- Ensure packaging meets manufacturing, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Production & Technical Execution
- Prepare accurate, print-ready output files that meet production specifications.
- Work confidently with dielines, color correction, and print specifications.
- Manage prepress requirements for offset and digital printing.
- Communicate clearly about materials, finishes, and packaging specifications.
- Proof artwork thoroughly to ensure production accuracy.
- Apply feedback on designs constructively to achieve final approvals efficiently.
- Demonstrate knowledge of packaging materials, construction, and structural design principles.
- Possess basic knowledge of internal blister/tray insert design and construction.
- Understand the production process, including printing methods, prepress requirements, and assembly considerations.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Coordinate with the Design Manager, Team Lead, and Project Manager to incorporate feedback, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
- Work with our overseas factories and printing partners to coordinate projects at different phases.
- Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Maintain organized files and documentation
- Take design feedback constructively and apply requested changes efficiently to improve final outcomes.
- Offer thoughtful, constructive suggestions during design reviews to enhance team creativity and problem-solving.
- Share knowledge, techniques, and best practices with the team to support growth and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to a positive team environment where collaboration, mutual support, and learning from one another are encouraged.
Ideal Experience & Skills:
- 2–4 years of experience in packaging or graphic design, with a portfolio that demonstrates recent, high-quality work.
- Experience designing packaging for consumer products, including understanding of branding, visual hierarchy, and retail impact.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, construction, and production processes, including printing, prepress, and manufacturability considerations.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software.
- Ability to take feedback constructively and iterate designs based on team and buyer input.
- Curiosity and initiative to conduct trend research and apply insights to packaging designs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when preparing print-ready files.
- Positive team-oriented attitude, willingness to share knowledge, and contribute to a collaborative environment.
- Interest in continuous learning and growing within a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
Your portfolio should include recent creative work (within the last two years).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in graphic or packaging design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of prepress, color correction, and both offset and digital printing
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

Pay: $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
