Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the reservation system to optimize seating flow.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a smooth and welcoming check-in process.
- Handle cashier duties accurately using restaurant POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Maintain organized restaurant table management systems to ensure efficient seating arrangements.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers regarding guest needs and special requests.
- Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about reservations, wait times, and menu details while practicing proper phone etiquette.
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service and guest relations.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems is essential.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow efficiently.
- Demonstrated hospitality mindset with a focus on guest services and guest relations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism.
