Job description: Certified Pest Control Technician

If you are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and enjoy physical, hands-on work, we have an ideal opportunity for you. In this position, you will apply pest control products to residential and commercial properties. Training will be provided.
This is a SEASONAL position from early March through the end of October, with potential to extend to later in the year for experienced technicians.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate fully in paid training opportunities that are provided to enhance your knowledge and to meet requirements for licensing
- Review the daily route assignment and pack a company vehicle according to the inventory list provided
- Drive a company vehicle to provide Mosquito Squad of the Mid Atlantic pest control services in a professional, safe, and cordial manner
- Build positive, strong relationships with customers and upsell services as the opportunities arise and receive compensation for doing so
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with state requirements, OSHA policies and procedures, and utilizing all required safety equipment
- Ensure the safety of customers and the public while driving and performing duties
- Work a flexible schedule regarding end time(s) as required to meet daily and weekly responsibilities, including occasional weekend hours
- Respond cooperatively to requests for help from fellow employees and or management
- Maintain the company vehicle and equipment in a clean and proper operating condition before, during, and after use
- Communicate daily with the manager and complete the job requirements and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Represent Mosquito Squad of the Mid Atlantic by wearing a clean company uniform and maintaining good personal hygiene
- Lift and carry up to a 60-pound backpack blower, often through wooded or uneven terrain
- Be comfortable using specialized products and equipment to perform the duties assigned to you
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Be willing to undergo a criminal background check and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) screening
- Valid driver's license of at least three years:
- No more than one at-fault accident within the last three years
- No major driving convictions within the last three years
- No more than two moving violations (including accidents/violation combinations) within the last three years
- No[CM1] felony convictions.
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a VA Registered Technician certification
- Write short, detailed correspondence and be comfortable using an electronic device such as an iPhone
- Positive attitude towards work and duties assigned

- Willing to share knowledge, cross train, and take on additional responsibilities
- Behave consistently and predictably – reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations

- This job requires sitting, driving, standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling
- Must be able to independently read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job duties
