We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist / Medical Records Coordinator.

Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist / Medical Records Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for patients and healthcare providers while ensuring the accurate management of medical records. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to multitask while maintaining excellent customer service.
ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Duties
- Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Collect copays and process patient payments
- Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and referring offices
Medical Records Duties
- Process incoming and outgoing medical records requests
- Scan, index, and maintain electronic medical records accurately
- Ensure records are complete and available for patient appointments
- Manage incoming faxes and clinical documentation
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
- Coordinate with providers, staff, and outside facilities regarding medical records needs
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred
- Experience in a medical office setting
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience handling medical records and HIPAA regulations
