Machine Operator
Baxter Springs, KS | $17.00/hour | Full-Time | 4-Day Work Week (4 x 10-Hour Shifts) Penmac Staffing is hiring a Machine Operatorfor a manufacturing facility in Baxter Springs, KS. Requirements for the Machine Operator
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications, drawings, and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work a full-time schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week
Machine Operator Responsibilities
- Operate fabrication machinery including saws, shears, rolls, and brakes used to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structural components
- Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine settings and adjustments
- Set stops and guides to required dimensions using scales, rules, or templates
- Position workpieces against stops and align layout marks with dies or blades
- Activate equipment using controls, buttons, or foot pedals
- Monitor machine operation and inspect products for defects
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale from finished workpieces
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures, MOPs, and SWIs
- Perform other duties as assigned
