Immediate need:
For after-school (15+ hours a week) and summer (28+ hours a week) Direct Support Professionals to work with children and adults with intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in Gaston County (Gastonia, Dallas, Kings Mountain, Belmont). A minimum of 2 years lived or worked experience with this population is required. Experience working with autism and non-speaking individuals, as well as AAC experience, is a plus. This is an excellent position for teachers and teacher assistants!
We’re looking for caring, energetic, fun-loving, compassionate people that want to help others help themselves! We work on goals for daily living skills, communication, socialization, sensory integration, mobility, safety skills and much more.
Must have High School/GED official transcripts from accredited school, reliable transportation, vehicle insurance, valid Drivers’ license, and be 18 years or older. Must have active cell phone or other electronic device for documentation. Training will be provided.
