Part-Time Prison Instructor to teach basic academic skills and High School Equivalency (HSE) tests preparation at Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville.
Teaching schedules may include day, evening or weekend depending on the applicants availability and course offerings.
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
Adult Education/HSE/Prison teaching experience strongly preferred.
HSE instructors must demonstrate a passion for teaching, a strong sense of classroom management, an understanding of the barriers students face and a professional and encouraging demeanor toward these students. Flexibility with job duties and great attention to detail is a must.
Must be able to work as a part of a team and must value collaboration; possess good teaching and organization skills; be able to communicate effectively both in verbal and written expression; and posses an education philosophy that is compatible with the mission of the community college.
All adjunct positions are contingent upon enrollment needs and funding.

Copies of all unofficial degree transcripts, including coursework completed and degree conferred, must be provided prior to being hired. Official transcripts are required to be forwarded to the CVCC Personnel Office Upon Hire.
