- Full-Time: 5 days per week (8-hour shifts)

The Opportunity: More Than Just a Job
As a Certified Medical Technician, you are a vital link in our residents’ health and happiness. You will lead medication administration for your assigned unit (Long-Term Care or Skilled Care) while also providing high-quality, direct C.N.A support.

What You Need to Apply
- Must possess a current State of Maine Med Tech Certification.
- Current C.N.A license in good standing.
- A heart for geriatric care and a dedicated, patient-centered approach.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to resident safety.

Other Skill Requirement:
- Able to administer medication by oral, rectal, topical, inhalation, eye or ear routes, under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse by following standard nursing procedures and facility policies for administering medication including but not limited to the following:
- Maintains medication cart and ensures storage area is clean, neat, and areas are locked if appropriate
- Obtains permission from licensed nurse before administering PRN medication
- Performs the count of non-narcotic countable medications with medication technician or licensed nurse at beginning and end of shift.
- Administers no Schedule II drugs or any sliding scale drugs
- Checks supply of medications for each resident on unit and coordinates with nursing staff for any reorder medication needs
- Takes vital signs, following correct procedure, including apical pulse rates
- Reports any significant changes in resident condition or vital signs to Charge Nurse or Supervisor, promptly
- Documents medication administered on MAR per facility policy and procedures
- Must be comfortable working with frequent interruptions
- Ability to work with emotionally upset residents/patients and family members
- Can communicate effectively with medical staff, nursing personnel, and other department supervisors
- Ability to work independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents/patients, personnel, and support agencies
- Has a passion for working with long term care residents and skilled rehabilitation patients to provide excellent resident and patient care.
