PCM Services is a commercial contractor in Beltsville, MD, which performs work across the DC/Baltimore metro areas and is seeking a skilled Construction Mechanic to support commercial construction and remodeling projects. This role involves working on interior build-outs and renovations, including metal framing, drywall installation and finishing, acoustic ceiling systems, installation of commercial doors and frames, and general remodeling of offices and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Execute general construction and interior build-out tasks, ranging from single-day assignments to multi-week commercial projects
- Perform metal framing, drywall installation, and drywall finishing in accordance with project specifications
- Install acoustic ceiling systems, commercial doors, frames, and related hardware
- Assist with office and commercial building remodeling, including demolition and reconstruction
- Review project schedules, job sheets, and instructions provided by the Production Manager to fully understand requirements
- Identify and gather necessary tools, materials, and PPE for each task; coordinate with the Production Manager as needed
- Report to assigned job sites on schedule and check in with on-site contacts when applicable
- Provide daily updates to the Production Manager, including hours worked, progress, estimated completion timelines, and job site photos
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, including proper disposal of debris and materials at the end of each shift
- Communicate any issues such as delays, access problems, safety concerns, or additional client requests to the Production Manager promptly
