Job Summary:
We are looking for motivated and reliable Delivery Drivers to join the Boone Delivery* team. Drivers are Independent Contractors with pay being a mix of earned delivery fees and tips.
Drivers are responsible for delivering food orders promptly and safely to customers’ locations, ensuring exceptional customer service with an energetic approach and commitment to safe driving and help maintain the standards set forth of service and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the vital link between our restaurant partners and valued customers, all while enjoying the flexibility of independent work.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up food orders from restaurants ensuring accuracy & proper handling during transit and complete all deliveries accurately.
- Safely operate personal vehicles adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Navigate routes using GPS to optimize delivery times and maintain punctuality.
- Communicate professionally with restaurant staff & customers, ensuring the best customer service possible.
- Alert dispatch/office to any potential issues or concerns.
- Comfortable with handling cash when necessary.
Benefits/Pay: *Listed pay is an averaged range combination of delivery fees + tips
- Flexible scheduling; can choose between part-time or full-time and days/shifts wanting to work.
- $100 bonus received after 3 months of consecutive work.
- Weekly payment for portion of earned delivery fees.
- 100% tips earned, plus end of month tip compensation for any non tip orders.
- Possibility of gas money or bonuses at owner's discretion.
- Drivers who live locally receive free delivery on any personal orders while employed.
Experience:
- Prior delivery driver experience is a plus, but not required.
- Customer service skills with a professionalism to create and maintain positive interactions.
- Ability to read and understand GPS mapping; with ability to quickly solve routing issues due to traffic, accidents or road construction.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
Requirements:
- Valid state license and vehicle registration, active and current car insurance.
- Ability to pass a background and/or DMV background check.
