The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily security operations for a El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana. This role ensures the safety and security of members, guests, employees, vendors, and club property while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, hospitality, and customer service.
Under the direction of the Assistant GM the ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in security operations, access control, incident response, and team supervision within a luxury hospitality or private club environment.
Day Shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Evening/Night Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Security Operations
- Oversee all daily security functions for the clubhouse, front gate, grounds, parking areas, and special event spaces.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for members, guests, employees, and vendors.
- Ensure all security posts are properly staffed and employee break periods are met in accordance with company policy.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, schedule, and supervise a team of 5–8 security officers.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, grooming, and appearance standards.
- Promote professionalism, accountability, and exceptional customer service.
Front Gate & Access Control
- Supervise front gate operations and access control procedures.
- Verify member, guest, vendor, contractor, and delivery access authorization.
- Manage guest lists, visitor check-ins, and vendor entry procedures.
- Resolve access-related issues professionally and efficiently.
- Program and maintain member access keys and account permissions.
Property Protection & Surveillance
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security equipment.
- Conduct routine patrols of club property and perimeter areas.
- Identify and address security vulnerabilities or suspicious activity.
- Ensure all security equipment is operational and properly maintained.
Incident Response & Emergency Management
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, disturbances, and incidents.
- Conduct investigations and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when necessary.
- Assist with emergency response planning and safety procedures.
Policy Compliance & Risk Management
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, safety regulations, and club standards.
- Conduct routine risk assessments and recommend operational improvements.
Event Security Coordination
- Plan and oversee security coverage for club events, tournaments, weddings, and private functions.
- Coordinate staffing, traffic control, and guest flow management.
- Maintain a seamless and welcoming member and guest experience during events.
Member Relations & Customer Service
- Provide exceptional hospitality and customer service in a luxury country club environment.
- Understand that the front gate serves as the first impression of the club.
- Address member concerns and requests courteously and professionally.
- Build positive relationships with members, guests, staff, and management.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare officer schedules and manage timekeeping records.
- Maintain security logs, incident reports, and operational records.
- Track incident trends and provide reports to senior management.
- Assist with inventory, supplies, vendor coordination, and departmental budgeting when needed.

Ability to understand and comply with all safety rules and use appropriate safety equipment at all times
Ability to stay on task and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to operate the convenience cart in a safe manner, negotiating around other carts and tight spaces is required
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and perform strenuous physical tasks under a variety of conditions
- From time to time, employee will be required to work in inclement weather, including but not limited to sun exposure, summer heat, and cold rainy conditions
- Standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping and talking, sitting, repetitive movement, writing, and telephone
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
