OnPoint Industrial is seeking dedicated medical professionals to provide onsite occupational health and first aid services at industrial facilities, construction projects, manufacturing plants, and other client locations. As an Onsite Medical Professional, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of employees by responding to workplace injuries and illnesses, supporting injury management, administering drug and alcohol testing, and promoting a safe work environment.
This position is ideal for healthcare professionals who enjoy working independently, collaborating with safety teams, and delivering exceptional care in fast-paced industrial settings.
Work Schedule
Full-time
6am-6pm (Three days a week)
What You'll Do
Patient Care
- Provide first aid and basic medical treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses in accordance with company protocols and standing orders.
- Assess injured or ill employees and determine the appropriate level of care, including coordinating emergency transportation when necessary.
- Perform patient assessments, obtain and document vital signs, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Coordinate follow-up care and assist with return-to-work and injury management processes.
- Educate employees on injuries, illnesses, treatment plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Perform urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, saliva testing, and other occupational health services while maintaining proper chain-of-custody procedures.
- Respond to medical emergencies, including trauma, respiratory, and cardiac events.
- Participate in emergency response activities and site emergency drills.
Occupational Health & Clinic Operations
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical documentation and treatment records.
- Complete injury reports and required client documentation.
- Conduct routine site walks to build relationships with employees and identify potential health or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked medical clinic or treatment area.
- Assist with administrative duties, data entry, inventory management, and special projects as assigned.
Safety & Team Collaboration
- Partner with client management, safety professionals, and project leadership to support a strong safety culture.
- Assist with workplace injury investigations and documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, supervisors, healthcare providers, and workers' compensation representatives.
- Promote proactive injury prevention and employee wellness initiatives.
- Maintain professional communication with employees, clients, contractors, and fellow team members.
Qualifications
Required
- Current National Registry or State EMT-B certification or higher (AEMT, Paramedic, LPN, RN, or equivalent).
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions within scope of practice.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Preferred
- Occupational health, industrial, emergency medical services, construction, or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation case management and return-to-work programs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in industrial environments.
- Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while on client sites.
- Ability to meet client-specific medical clearance requirements when applicable.
