Hours
8-3:15 Monday-Thursday, 8-2 Friday, plus two alternating Friday afternoon PD/meetings per month, Pre-planning week, Post-planning week, once a month school activities in the evening
Description
This position will teach elective STEM classes for grades K-8, math classes for grades 6, 7, and 8, and science classes for grades 6, 7, and 8. Daily schedule to be determined.

Instructional Duties
- Prepare lesson plans that adequately describe objectives, methods, procedures, and materials.
- Present lesson plans using teaching methods that enable student comprehension.
- Monitor and analyze outcomes through selected testing methods.
- Establish, maintain, and supervise the classroom environment with effective classroom management techniques designed to provide a peaceful and safe learning environment.
- Plan and conduct student and parent conferences.
- Act as a liaison between the school and parents.
Administrative Duties
- Commit to ongoing professional development via an annual program of research and study, workshop attendance, and continuing education.
- Learn new skills, such as integrating technology into the classroom, as changing pedagogy dictates.
- Collaborate as a team player with teaching colleagues and administrators.
- Perform various administrative and support duties, such as hall and lunch monitoring or classroom upkeep, as assigned.
- Attend and prepare for faculty, department, or team meetings as required.
- Consistently support and uphold school policies and procedures.
- Model self‐discipline and ethical behavior.
- Present self in a professional manner through appropriate dress, communication techniques, and demeanor.
- Perform other duties as requested by the principal.
- Work with assigned staff team members on organizational development issues.
- Submit requests for supplies, books, and other teaching materials within established time and budget constraints.
- Maintain appropriate student and administrative records according to school policy.
- Coordinate teaching schedules, duty schedules, and event schedules with other faculty members.
- Attend and participate in school-wide activities, such as the fall festival.
- Perform after-school duty, lunch duty, and other duties as assigned.
Required: Level 2 Background Check through the State of Florida. Background checks from other states are not transferrable.
Pay: From $36,000.00 per year
