Become a Key Player as a Tubing Fabricator
You will fabricate and assemble tubing components that support critical air, fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems, contributing directly to product readiness and safety. You will work with the production team and quality inspectors on-site during the 1st shift (7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday) to meet production and inspection standards. Your work supports downstream welding and testing operations and helps maintain manufacturing throughput.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Read work orders, blueprints, sketches, and bend data charts to determine tubing dimensions and finish specifications
- Set up and operate manual and power machines to cut, form, swage, flare, and burr tubing
- Perform single-bend operations using a semi-automatic tube bender
- Attach fittings (nuts, sleeves, collars, caps) and assemble tubing in jigs and fixtures for welding
- Measure and inspect tubing using gauges, calipers, CMM, and visual controls; perform pressure tests for leaks
- Mark, clean, lubricate, and remove minor imperfections from tubing assemblies
- Run bump machine as needed and ensure equipment calibration per schedule
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of related experience, including degreasing and preparing tubing for bending
- Ability to acquire a certified operator stamp within one year in the position
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting written instructions, procedures, blueprints, and route sheets
- Basic math, effective verbal and written communication, and basic computer skills
- Strong mechanical reasoning and the ability to work within precise limits
- Ability to apply lean/continuous improvement concepts and work effectively in a team
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
- Experience training or assisting less experienced team members
- Familiarity with waterspider, rigid tube, and saw cell processes
- Prior exposure to lean initiatives and process improvement activities
Pay Range
$14.40 - $18.00/hour
