We are seeking a skilled and experienced Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience repairing and maintaining mobility equipment, including scooters, power chairs, manual wheelchairs, and other related devices. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive reliable, safe, and fully functional equipment tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain durable medical equipment, including scooters, power chairs, manual wheelchairs, and other mobility devices.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure equipment is operating at optimal performance.
- Customize mobility equipment to meet the specific needs of clients, particularly veterans.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and usage to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service provided.
- Ensure compliance with all company, and federal and state safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and installations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in repairing and maintaining durable medical equipment.
- Knowledge of mobility equipment brands such as Permobil, Harmar, Golden Technologies, Pride Mobility, and others.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues related to mobility devices.
- Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client locations within Northern California.
- Certification or training in DME repair is a plus.
