Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Job Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Reports to: Medical Director
Company Summary: Jacksonville Outpatient Detox specializes in treating clients at an outpatient level of care for alcohol, opioid and other substance abuse disorders. Jacksonville Outpatient Detox offers personal and direct treatment for outpatient detox and withdrawal management.
Position Summary: The Nurse Practitioner will oversee the ongoing consultation/care and medication management for clients enrolled in Jacksonville Outpatient Detox.
Essential Functions:
- Perform History & Physical exam for all new clients.
- Follow-up with individual clients at least one time daily, or more frequently as indicated, for ongoing assessment of clients’ treatment progress and current medication effectiveness; Make adjustments to client’s medications as needed.
- Oversight and management of RNs and LPNs on shift.
- Educate the client on medications and potential medication side effects.
- Abide by laws, regulations, and standards of practice regarding Confidentiality and Ethics for the provision of treatment under the scope of license and certification.
- Conduct peer reviews with managed care companies if needed.
- Complete timely, accurate documentation of all client interactions, medication changes, and any other events related to client’s medication/treatment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team to promote team approach to client care.
- Propose, develop, and implement best practices in medical care delivery under the direction of the Medical Director.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current, Valid CRNP or ARNP License in the State of Florida.
- Qualified to obtain prescriptive authority in the State of Florida
- CPR/ First Aid Certified.
- Previous experience in addiction treatment setting or with treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred.
- Excellent Professional References.

Other Requirements
- First Aid/CPR Certified.
- Ability to work independently in facility and alternate site settings.
- May need to assume a flexible work schedule.
- Valid Driver’s License; Reliable, Independent Transportation.
- Submit to and pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Completion of all continuing education and training as required by company requirements, regulatory agencies, and professional licensing board.
Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
