We are looking for team members to merchandise plants, flowers, and trees at home improvement retail stores across the North Bay area. You will be responsible for a territory covering several locations, specifically San Rafael, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, and Windsor. This is a growth opportunity to put your creativity and work ethic to great use.
The Role:
- Schedule: Part-time (up to 30 hours/week) or potentially full-time for the right candidate.
- Hours: Shifts typically start between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, 3 to 4 days per week depending on seasonal needs. Full time opportunity up to 40 hours.
What You Will Do:
- Merchandise: Assist to unload trucks (racked material), move rolling racks, and place plants in garden center to ensure store and Plan-o-Gram compliance.
- Maintain: Keep our products healthy and vibrant through consistent watering and care.
- Collaborate: Work with Sales Managers, Team Leads, and Garden Center Managers to ensure displays meet our high quality and visual standards.
- Travel: Drive between store locations throughout your shift to complete merchandising projects.
- Execute: Use assigned tools (hammers, drills, etc.—training provided) to build and reset display areas.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Lifting & Carrying: Regularly lift, carry, and move plants or materials weighing up to 50 pounds. This includes carrying items while walking and moving objects from ground level to shoulder height or above.
- Pushing & Pulling: Move large rolling racks; this requires the ability to push or pull 300+ pounds on a rolling mechanism.
- Repetitive Motion: Perform frequent bending, twisting at the waist, kneeling, stooping, and reaching (above, at, and below shoulder height) while maintaining displays.
- Hose Operation: Assist with watering, which requires pulling and dragging a hose with 25+ pounds of water pressure.
- Environment: Work primarily outdoors standing or walking. Exposure to outdoor elements (sun, wind, heat, or cold) is expected.
What We Need From You:
- You must be dependable, self-motivated, and willing to work hard.
- You have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and access to dependable transportation with insurance.
- You will use a company-provided smartphone for all timekeeping (Paycom), mileage reporting, and daily attendance punches.
- Prior retail or merchandising experience is a plus, but not required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the right candidate.
