Responsibilities
- Proficient in use of welding equipment and associated tools (i.e., grinders, torches, needle guns, carbon arc, etc.)
- Safely operate welding equipment and associated tools
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (Flat 1G, Horizontal 2G or Vertical 3G)
- Maintain equipment in a safe working condition
- Perform welds from welding symbols on drawings
- Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Skills
- Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG)
- Air Carbon Arc Cutting
- Experience in using hand tools (grinders, measuring tools, air tools, hammers, chisels etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret welding documents and weldment drawings
- Attention to detail
