Overview
Steg Construction LLC is seeking a motivated, dependable, and skilled Construction Technician who is experienced in multiple areas of residential construction and remodeling. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently, follow project schedules, and collaborate effectively with other team members. We are looking for a "jack of all trades" capable of performing a wide variety of construction tasks while maintaining quality workmanship and professionalism.
Duties
- Perform residential remodeling and construction work including:
- Plumbing repairs and installations
- Electrical repairs and installations
- Rough carpentry and framing
- Finish carpentry including trim, doors, cabinetry, and finish work
- Drywall repair, texture, and painting (preferred)
- Flooring installation and general remodeling tasks
- Read and interpret project plans and instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, and coworkers.
- Work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Load, transport, and organize tools and materials between job sites.
- Troubleshoot construction issues and provide practical solutions.
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of residential construction or remodeling experience preferred.
- Proficient in plumbing, electrical, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation capable of transporting personal tools and job materials.
- Must provide a standard set of personal construction tools.
- Ability to safely operate common power tools and construction equipment.
- Ability to pass a background check
