Job Summary
Autel, a global leader in automotive equipment, is seeking a Quality Engineer. This person plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of manufacturing processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, evaluation and installation of quality assurance systems and process controls.
- Participate in reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing process stability.
- Reviews and approves vendor quality data and corrective action reports.
- Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Develops innovative approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
- Prepares and presents technical and product information to team members and management.
- Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
- Is a collaborative partner with internal and external business partners and stakeholders.
- Work with suppliers directly to create corrective action plans to address process failures.
- Communicate and instruct suppliers on the use of corrective action process and quality tools and techniques.
- Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
- Regularly visit suppliers and assist the supply chain group in conducting supplier audits.
- Create, issue and complete Supplier Corrective Action requests.
- Participate in Engineering Change meetings to ensure awareness to design changes, implement engineering changes in accordance with 1st article process.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or relevant position required.
- Excellent communication ability
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- BS Degree or AS Degree with relevant mix of successful work experience in leadership of Quality teams is preferred but not required.
- Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; using a structured, data driven approach, Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations.
- Experience successfully applying well-defined problem-solving methods, such as 8D.
- Must have thorough knowledge of GD&T and ability to read blueprints.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
