As the Function Space Manager, you'll be the strategic mastermind behind every square foot of meeting and event space — turning our function calendar into a powerful revenue engine. You'll own the inventory end-to-end, balancing group sales demand, flawless event execution, and bottom-line profitability. Partnering closely with Sales, Revenue Management, Event Services, and Operations, you'll shape smart allocation strategies and resolve space conflicts before they ever become headaches.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–7 years of hotel sales, event services, revenue management, or operations experience
- Strong understanding of group sales, catering, and event operations
- Proven experience managing competing priorities across multiple departments
- Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategy
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maximizing Space Value
- Own the function space calendar and develop strategies to optimize utilization across all venues
- Analyze demand patterns and recommend smart allocation to boost efficiency
- Optimize peak-time usage with compression tactics and flexible configurations
- Partner with Revenue Management to align function space decisions with total hotel revenue strategy
Driving Sales & Seamless Events
- Partner with Group Sales to assess space feasibility and shape selling strategies, including timing, minimums, and displacement factors
- Guide decisions about space-heavy versus room-heavy business and enforce usage parameters.
- Work with Event Services to ensure operationally sound plans, approve complex or high-impact event diagrams and multi-day setups, resolve space conflicts, and uphold service standards
Performance Insights & Continuous Excellence
- Report on key space metrics (utilization %, revenue per square foot, peak-time use) and identify trends, risks, and opportunities space compression and opportunity cost
- Establish booking standards, setup rules, and best practices to elevate efficiency
- Collaborate with Operations to enhance room turns and recommend space improvements
- Support capital planning and train teams on effective space selling and planning
