General Duties:
Maintenance duties include the medical facility, grounds, equipment and all side buildings. Duties include repair, and upkeep of all of these as well daily custodial duties. Laundry: Maintain laundering of all towels, smocks, bedding, surgical towels, gowns, throughout day
Animal Care: Take out animals for urination and defecation, making sure animals are clean at all times during their stay. Replace soiled bedding, cleaning kennels as needed.
Inventory: Make & stock drapes, combine rolls, sterile 4x4s etc., unpack and stock incoming inventory and prescription diets.
Assist Techs or Vet Assistants:
Help perform any duties requested by veterinary technicians or veterinary assistants, including xrays, animal restraint, cleaning, labs, or animal care.
Maintenance Staff Duties:
Performs general repair and minor maintenance duties in maintaining building, all separate structures included, adjacent walks and grounds, and keeps equipment and vehicles in clean, orderly and functional condition.
Provides assistance to staff, visitors and other employees as necessary.
General Duties: Building and Grounds Maintenance to include
Minor repairs
janitorial duties
ordering and pick up cleaning supplies or equipment
replacing broken fixtures
painting
emptying trash
cleaning windows
shoveling
stall cleaning
plumbing/septic tank maintenance
small machine repair
cabinet repair or replacements
lighting repair and replacement
ground or building improvements including weeding
pressure washing
organize and maintain inventory of all clinic equipment
Filter replacements on heat/AC
o Seasonal Duties Winter
drain fuel from summer ground equipment
make sure vehicles are set for cold weather antifreeze tires etc
Disconnect batteries for winter on equipment
o Seasonal Duties Spring/Summer
Mowers, weed eater, rototiller (tune ups gas carb oil)
Check batteries on all equipment
Power Washer check for repair/replace
