Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Position Summary
We are searching for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk who will be responsible for ensuring customer shipments are accurate, complete, properly documented, and delivered on time.
This position combines hands-on warehouse responsibilities with computer-based logistics and inventory management. The successful candidate will spend a significant portion of each day working within our ERP system and shipping software while also packaging products, preparing shipments, receiving incoming materials, and operating forklifts.
7 am - 5:30 pm M - Th, $19 per hour

Key ResponsibilitiesShipping Operations
- Pick, verify, package, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Ensure correct part numbers, quantities, addresses, labels, and documentation accompany every shipment.
- Package products to prevent shipping damage while meeting customer-specific packaging requirements.
- Process shipments using the ERP system and shipping software.
- Prepare parcel and LTL/freight shipments.
- Print packing slips, shipping labels, Bills of Lading, and other required shipping documents.
- Coordinate with the Sales team regarding shortages, customer requirements, or shipment concerns.
- Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on schedule.
Receiving Operations
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and product condition.
- Process receipts accurately within the ERP system.
- Print and apply inventory labels.
- Coordinate movement of received materials within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory put-away.
- Communicate damaged materials or receiving discrepancies to the appropriate departments.
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain organized warehouse storage locations.
- Support overall inventory accuracy throughout the facility.
Documentation & Systems
- Complete daily shipping and receiving transactions within the ERP system.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Generate packing slips, Bills of Lading, shipping labels, freight documents, and other required paperwork.
- Learn international shipping procedures, including customs documentation, commercial invoices, HTS codes, and freight coordination.
- Develop proficiency with UPS WorldShip and other shipping software.
Cross-Training & Team Support
- Become cross-trained across the Logistics Department.
- Provide backup support for Shipping & Receiving Coordinator responsibilities as experience develops.
- Assist material handlers and other logistics personnel during periods of increased workload.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure customer commitments are consistently met.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve shipping and receiving processes.
- Recommend improvements that reduce errors, increase efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Participate in the implementation of approved process improvements.
- Support Aurora's Quality Management System and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork and computer transactions.
- Comfortable working with computers throughout the day.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with coworkers, truck drivers, and other departments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday.
- Reliable attendance and strong dependability.

- Manufacturing or warehouse experience.
- Forklift certification/operating experience.
