Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, including recording vital signs, updating medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations or procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans
- Provide patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring a comfortable experience during visits
- Support medical office management through appointment scheduling, medical records organization.
- Vaccine administrations
- Verifying insurance
Experience
- 5+ years prior experience in medical office settings with a strong foundation in outpatient and inpatient care environments
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly across multiple clinical settings while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
