California Sleep Solutions is seeking a detail oriented, results driven Patient Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess confidence, initiative and a sense of urgency in order to make sure department goals are met – bilingual is a plus!
Please note this position will be based in our Roseville, CA office.
Job Duties:
- Contact patients to review bills and collect balances, as well as to create payment schedules
- Determine patients' remaining balance in order to determine patient deductibles
- Send out monthly billing statements
- Work with collection agencies to follow up on past due accounts
- Collaborate with the billing team to ensure timely reimbursement
- Prepare invoices on a weekly and monthly basis, following up as required
- Managing the collection efforts/calls for accounts receivable portfolio
- Performing account/payment reconciliations
- Researches all information needed to complete billing process
- Works with other staff to follow-up on accounts until zero balance or turned over for collection
- Posting for patient collections and process patient payments
Skill & Experience Requirements:
- 1+ years of Medical Billing and or patient Collections experience
- Understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability work as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met department wide
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, word, etc.)
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT, and Medical Terminology
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions
