ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct client care to women with chemical dependency disorders; ensures the safety and wellbeing of each client; supports the maintenance of therapeutic milieu.
· Technicians Prep lunch for the following day. This includes making sure fruits and vegetables are prepped. If a soup, that all soup ingredients are chopped and prepped and ready to go into the cooking pot the following morning for lunch.
· Check dressing trays so containers are cleaned and filled.
· Go through food in fridge, check dates and make sure that leftovers are planned for a meal before they go bed.
· Make sure cereal containers are filled for morning breakfast.
· Check client snack bins, making sure food is rotated and filled as needed. Utilize first in, first out top make sure that oldest foods are eaten first to ensure food safety and freshness for clients.
· Make sure house laundry is done at night.
· Stock bathrooms and ensure cleanliness
· Performs/assists clients with activities of daily living (personal care, cooking, etc) consistently and according to policy; assists clients with nutritional needs
· Records client behaviors accurately and consistently; effectively communicates significant changes/reactions to appropriate supervisor
· Consistently follows the plan of care designed to meet the emotional needs of clients
· Demonstrates knowledge and ability to care for clientele
· Communicates effectively, verbally and written, with co-workers, clients, family, etc.
· Demonstrates positive attitudes and behaviors; promotes an environment in which clients have the opportunity to express concerns or needs; assists other staff as needed
· Must be able to handle confidential client information with care and security; uses correct channels to communicate needs or concerns
· Demonstrates cost containment awareness
· Makes client rounds and interval checks; documents according to policy and responds to clients requests in a timely manner; makes input during shift report
· Demonstrates good motor skills and physical strength, stamina, and proper body mechanics to execute procedures
· Verbalizes and demonstrates proper procedures for infection control · Responds appropriately and promptly to clients exhibiting anger, sadness, frustrations, etc.
· Must be willing to continuously learn as new trainings become available; must maintain and forward all certification/license info to Business Office; must be willing to take CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration trainings
· May be required to drive clients to appointments/meetings/etc.
· Must be willing to take on other duties as needed
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
