JOB As a Wildlife Habitat Group Manager with the Pennsylvania Game Commission - Southcentral Region, you will help shape healthy environments for a variety of species. This role blends leadership, fieldwork, and long-term planning in order to guide projects that improve habitats and support safe land use. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
In this role, your work focuses on planning, directing, and reviewing habitat projects, land management activities, and staff operations within the Southcentral Region. As a Wildlife Habitat Group Manager, you will perform the following duties:

Project Oversight: Plan and supervise habitat work, maintenance activities, and construction across assigned lands

Staff Leadership: Guide crew operations, review reports, and ensure compliance with standards and procedures

Land Management: Coordinate surveys, property research, and land acquisition reviews for game lands

Environmental Coordination: Work with forestry staff, engineers, and agencies on reclamation, timber activities, and habitat planning

Compliance Monitoring: Inspect facilities, oversee licensing requirements, and ensure safe handling of chemicals and equipment

Record Administration: Maintain documentation, prepare summaries, and manage budget and purchasing activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered within Perry County and parts of Juniata and Snyder County. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
