The Gower Police Department is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Police Officer to serve and protect our community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enforcing laws, maintaining public safety, and responding to emergencies. This role requires strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and integrity. Requirements
· Must have a high school diploma
· Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire
· Must possess a valid Missouri driver’s license
· Must possess a Class A or B Post License
· Must pass a background and drug test
· Must have reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Enforce local and state laws to ensure community safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents
- Conduct criminal investigations, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports
- Perform patrols to monitor neighborhoods and public areas
- Engage in conflict management and de-escalation techniques during tense situations
- Provide first aid and CPR as needed to assist injured individuals
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and incidents in report writing
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, leadership, and professionalism at all times.
