Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Food Service Delivery Driver is responsible for loading/unloading all meals to each site in a timely fashion; maintain overall cleanliness of the van; assist in cleaning the kitchen if time permits, dishes, labeling of warmers/coolers for delivery. May also be asked to pick up product from local grocery stores. The warmers/coolers that need to be loaded on a daily basis may weigh up to 50lbs. This position requires a valid chauffeur's license with good driving record. Applicants must be available Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Properly labels warmers/coolers for delivery to each site

Assists in placing prepared meals in their proper containers

Maintains/cleans the van while properly filling out the vehicle check list

Keep records of the deliveries for each day

Drives delivery Van to numerous off-sites safely and in a timely fashion

Efficiently loads and unloads warmers/coolers into the vehicle for delivery

Communicates in a professional manor with each site coordinator
Performs any other functions deemed to be necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association
COMPENSATION
$14.35 - $17.93 ; Non-Exempt, Part-Time (up to 25 hours/week)

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); one to three months of previous delivery driving experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. YMCA experience preferred.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification required within the first 60 days
