Position Overview:
BRYAN CARGO EXPRESS is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Associate to help maintain high standards of accuracy, safety, and service quality across our logistics and cargo operations. The successful candidate will inspect shipments and operational processes, verify documentation, identify discrepancies, and work with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, condition, labeling, and compliance with company procedures.
- Review shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation documentation for errors or missing information.
- Monitor cargo handling, packing, loading, and shipment preparation processes.
- Identify damaged, missing, mislabeled, or incorrectly processed freight and report issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate quality-control records, inspection reports, and corrective-action documentation.
- Investigate recurring operational discrepancies and assist in identifying their root causes.
- Coordinate with warehouse, transportation, and operations teams to resolve quality issues.
- Verify that employees follow established safety, handling, and operational procedures.
- Perform routine audits of shipment records, inventory information, and logistics workflows.
- Support continuous-improvement initiatives designed to reduce errors, delays, damages, and customer complaints.
- Escalate significant quality or compliance issues to management.
- Ensure quality-related records are maintained accurately and securely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, supply chain, or quality management is a plus.
- Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, freight operations, quality control, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and follow established quality procedures.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory/logistics software.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with operational teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced cargo and warehouse environment.
Pay: $20.50 - $24.20 per hour
