We are looking for motivated, experienced cooks to join our kitchen crew in our full service Pensacola Airport restauarnt. If you thrive in a high-energy atmosphere, take pride in the food you put out, and are looking for a reliable schedule, we want to meet you!
The Role: To succeed here, you need a positive attitude, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work seamlessly under pressure alongside bussers, servers, and fellow cooks. You’ll be responsible for preparing quality food that keeps our travelers satisfied and moving.
What You’ll Do:
- Prep & Execute: Prepare food for service using approved recipes. Ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Maintain Standards: Follow all food safety regulations, proper food handling, and sanitation guidelines. Use knives and kitchen equipment safely.
- Keep It Clean: Clean, sanitize, and maintain your workstation, equipment, and utensils throughout your shift. Break down and restock your station at the end of the night.
- Minimize Waste: Help control product costs by properly managing food waste.
- Teamwork: Multi-task efficiently and maintain a professional, positive approach with coworkers and customers.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven cooking experience (line cook, prep cook, or restaurant chef).
- Solid understanding of basic cooking methods, food prep principles, and kitchen safety.
- Reliable availability.
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25+ pounds.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a pre-employment background check.
