DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- The Same Day Surgery Nurse, under the supervision of the Same Day Manager, is responsible for the nursing care of patients assigned to him/her, and to direct others in patient care, in the Same Day Surgery and Infusion Therapy settings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
  - Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
  - Current Illinois license with biennial renewal.
  - Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  - Advanced Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  - BSN preferred.
  - DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

  - Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy and honesty.
  - Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability and professional conduct.
  - Possesses personal qualities such as kindness, sympathy, understanding, respect, good judgement, responsibility, integrity, loyalty, a sense of humor and an ability to relate effectively with patients, their families, and staff.
  - Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.
  - Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
  - Willingness to be flexible in working irregular hours as the schedule varies.
  - Appreciation of and desire to be a part of a health care team dedicated to proving optimal patient care.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
