Thomas Restaurant Equipment is a growing commercial restaurant equipment dealer serving restaurants, schools, churches, healthcare facilities, and foodservice operators throughout the Carolinas. We are looking for an Operations & Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, and warehouse personnel.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives on organization, accountability, efficiency, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the warehouse and daily operations while helping build systems that support the continued growth of the company.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Oversee all daily warehouse activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment
- Manage receiving, inspection, and storage of incoming equipment
- Ensure customer orders are pulled, staged, and verified accurately
- Monitor warehouse productivity and workflow
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and counts
- Perform cycle counts and periodic inventory audits
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Organize inventory locations and improve inventory tracking procedures
Logistics & Deliveries
- Ensure equipment is properly staged and prepared for delivery
- Assist with deliveries and loading when needed
- Oversee company vehicles, forklifts, and warehouse equipment
Team Leadership
- Supervise warehouse and delivery personnel
- Assign daily tasks and responsibilities
- Hold team members accountable for productivity and performance
- Train employees on procedures, safety standards, and best practices
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
Process Improvement
- Develop and implement warehouse procedures
- Improve efficiency, organization, and inventory accuracy
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve productivity
- Work closely with ownership and sales staff to streamline operations
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse management, operations management, or logistics experience preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Experience managing inventory and warehouse systems
- Forklift experience required
- Ability to lift and move commercial restaurant equipment
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with a high level of accountability
- Basic computer proficiency including inventory systems, email, and spreadsheets
