Every summer, some of Utah's largest student housing communities trust Swift to prepare hundreds of apartments for new residents during one of the busiest times of the year.
About the Project
When one group of students moves out and another moves in just days later, every apartment must be prepared quickly, safely, and consistently.
Swift manages large turnover projects for student housing communities by coordinating labor crews that prepare apartments before cleaners, maintenance technicians, and new residents arrive.
As a Project Team Lead, you'll be responsible for leading one of these crews from start to finish.
What You'll Be Doing
Every morning you'll meet with the Project Manager to review production goals before leading your crew throughout the day.
Your crew's responsibilities include:
- Removing trash, furniture, food, and debris left behind by previous residents.
- Bagging and tagging resident belongings that must remain on-site.
- Moving refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, and other appliances away from walls so cleaning crews can access behind them.
- Preparing apartments for maintenance and cleaning teams.
- Completing digital checklists for every apartment.
- Taking before, during, and after photos for quality control and client documentation.
- Working only in vacant portions of occupied units when necessary while respecting resident privacy.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional worksite.
Your Responsibilities as Team Lead
Beyond helping complete the work yourself, you'll be responsible for leading your crew throughout the project.
You will:
- Lead a crew of technicians each day.
- Coordinate directly with the Project Manager.
- Coordinate apartment unit access for team members as needed.
- Ensure apartments meet Swift's quality standards before they're turned over.
- Train / correct team members on Swift procedures.
- Keep the crew productive, safe, and motivated throughout each shift.
- Jump in and help your crew whenever needed.
- Solve problems in the field and communicate issues quickly.
- Represent Swift professionally with clients and residents.
