Class A CDL Driver / Heavy Construction
$27–30/hour (based on experience) | Full-Time | Year-Round Work
Looking for more than just another driving job?
Join a team that builds gas stations from the ground up.
PTM is a growing petroleum contractor based in Madison, PA. We specialize in underground fuel storage tank installations and removals, fuel system piping, and commercial fueling facilities throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio.
We're looking for someone who enjoys both driving and working in the field. This is not a job where you'll sit behind the wheel all day. It's a good mix of CDL driving and hands-on construction work, making it a great fit for someone who likes variety and wants to be part of building something.
Every day is different. Some days you'll spend most of the day hauling equipment. Other days you'll be helping install underground storage tanks, piping, and fueling systems.
What You'll Do
- Haul excavators (CAT 336, 317, 308, 305), skid steers (Takeuchi TL8, TL12), rollers, dozers, and other heavy equipment to and from job sites
- Transport materials using tractor-trailers ('26 Kenworth W900), lowboys ('26 Talbert 55CC), goosenecks, tag trailers, and dump trucks ('19 and '21 Mack GR64F)
- Load, secure, and safely transport heavy equipment
- Assist our construction crews with underground fuel system installations when not driving
- Work with experienced team members installing piping, fittings, tanks, and related equipment
- Opportunity to do something different everyday - no repetitive routines
- Learn specialized construction skills in a niche field
- Complete pre-trip inspections and help keep equipment clean and ready for work
- Follow all DOT and company safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving record
- Experience hauling heavy equipment is a plus
- Ability to load and properly secure equipment
- Willingness to work as part of a construction crew when not driving
- Positive attitude, dependable, and safety-minded
What We Offer
- $27–30/hour based on experience
- Overtime opportunities
- 40-45 hour weeks on average
- Monday–Friday schedule (6am start)
- Home most nights
- Year-round employment
- Health insurance after 90 days
- 401(k) with company match after one year
- Paid holidays
- Paid time off and sick time
- Newer trucks and equipment
- No long haul trucking
- Opportunity to learn equipment operation and grow within the company
Occasional overnight travel (typically Monday–Thursday) may be required for certain projects, with employees returning home Thursday evening (3 day weekends).
If you're looking for more than just another driving job and want to be part of a skilled construction team that takes pride in its work, we'd love to hear from you.
