American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in South Carolina.

Pediatric respiratory therapy unit at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Holiday rotation required

Every other weekend required

Floating within scope may be required depending on experience; no floating to sister facilities

No on-call required

Epic EMR used; experience preferred

Scrub color: Caribbean Blue

Current RRT certification (NBRC) and South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license required — SC RCP license must be in hand at time of start

License required if applicable

Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric, neonatal, and infant respiratory therapy

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, PALS, and NRP

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
-
Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
-
Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment

Parking is free on nights and weekends with a one-time $20 parking pass fee
-
Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane activity occurs in August and September
