Job Overview
MOODY FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Assistant Operations Manager to help lead the daily operations of our multi-attraction entertainment venue. This position assists the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the facility, including bowling, arcade, food and beverage operations, guest services, birthday parties, corporate events, facility cleanliness, safety, and team member development.
The Assistant Operations Manager serves as a key leader within the organization and is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting team performance across all departments.
This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training team members.
- Coach, motivate, and develop employees to achieve company standards.
- Provide daily leadership and direction to front-line staff and department leads.
- Conduct shift meetings and communicate operational goals and expectations.
- Assist with employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Foster a positive, engaging, and team-oriented workplace culture.
Operations Management
- Assist in overseeing daily operations of bowling, arcade, food & beverage, attractions, and guest services.
- Ensure all departments operate efficiently and meet company standards.
- Monitor guest flow and staffing levels to maximize service and efficiency.
- Perform regular facility walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
- Address operational issues and implement solutions quickly and effectively.
Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest receives outstanding service.
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor during operating hours.
- Support party hosts and event teams to ensure successful event execution.
- Create a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for guests of all ages.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with labor management and scheduling.
- Monitor daily sales and operational performance metrics.
- Support inventory management and supply ordering.
- Assist in controlling labor, food, beverage, and operational expenses.
- Complete daily reports, shift recaps, and operational checklists.
Safety & Facility Management
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain attraction safety standards and operational guidelines.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and guest incidents.
- Assist with facility maintenance coordination and equipment inspections.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Event & Party Operations
- Support execution of birthday parties, corporate events, fundraisers, and group outings.
- Ensure event spaces are properly prepared and staffed.
- Assist with managing event timelines and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with food and beverage teams to ensure seamless service.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience in hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, retail, or customer service industries.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Proficient with basic computer systems and reporting tools.
Preferred
- Experience in family entertainment centers, bowling centers, trampoline parks, restaurants, or hospitality venues.
- Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Food Safety or Alcohol Service Certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entertainment environment.
- Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and climbing stairs.
