Hayes Residence, a welcoming 40-bed long-term care facility located in the heart of Highland Park, is looking for reliable and team-oriented individuals to join our Dietary Department as a Prep/Cook.

Department Hours (7 days/week)
6:00 AM – 1:30PM
10:30AM-6:00PM
2:00PM-6:00PM

- 2 Part-Time Prep/Cooks
- 1 On-Call Prep/Cook

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals following established recipes and guidelines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Support meal service and assist with special dietary needs
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Participate in training and ongoing development
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and dependable with consistent attendance
- Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team
- Basic knowledge of cooking and kitchen operations (training provided if needed)
- Willingness to learn and follow food safety practices
- Ability to work within kitchen hours (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM)
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience in long-term care, group residential, or food service settings
- Food Handler Certificate (can be obtained through the company)
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
