Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting and loading/unloading of products. Responsibilities
- Operate a box truck or courier vehicle to deliver furniture, appliances and electronics.
- Load and unload items safely, ensuring that all products are secured during transport.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route taken.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers during deliveries.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS or maps to optimize delivery routes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist with moving and handling heavy items as needed during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating delivery box trucks.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards clients and team members.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
