This contract opportunity seeks a compassionate professional experienced as a School Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Social Worker dedicated to working within educational settings. You’ll play a vital part in helping students navigate challenges, ensuring they have the tools to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a closely related field (Master’s preferred)
- Active California licensure (LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Experience providing counseling, assessments, and interventions to school-aged children and their families
- Strong understanding of IEP/504 processes and school-based mental health services
- Outstanding communication skills with students, families, staff, and administration
- Ability to build trusting relationships and maintain confidentiality
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling services to students in alignment with school needs and goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive action plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on student progress and well-being
- Conduct risk assessments and crisis interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with legal and ethical standards
- Support preventive programming designed to enhance social-emotional learning and inclusivity on campus
