Description:
A warm, busy family in Rollingwood is seeking an experienced, nurturing part-time nanny to support their growing family. They have a sweet 3½-year-old son and are expecting a baby girl in August. They are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with children, enjoys being an extra set of hands, and is interested in building a long-term relationship with their family.
Both parents work from home and value honesty, hard work, open communication, and teamwork. Their son thrives on consistency and routine. After the baby girl arrives in August, the nanny will care for both children, confidently balancing the unique needs of a newborn and a toddler while fostering a loving sibling relationship.
The family also has two sweet Ragdoll cats, so the ideal nanny should be comfortable around pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care while prioritizing the children's safety and emotional well-being
- Transport the toddler to and from activities using your own reliable vehicle
- Support age-appropriate learning, development, and play, adapting activities as the family's new baby arrives
- Assist with dinner, bath time, reading, and bedtime routines
- Complete child-related household tasks, including children's laundry, organizing play areas, and maintaining children's spaces
- Communicate openly with parents and work collaboratively in a home where both parents work remotely
The Ideal Nanny:
- Has extensive experience caring for both newborns and toddlers
- Is knowledgeable about developmental milestones and enjoys planning age-appropriate activities
- Is proactive, attentive, and confident managing the needs of two young children
- Values structure, consistency, and positive routines
- Is warm, dependable, and interested in building a long-term relationship with the family
- Has excellent communication skills and takes initiative when appropriate
- Is comfortable working in a home where both parents work remotely
- Is a Spanish speaker (highly preferred, but not required)
- Is comfortable around cats
Position Details:
- Location: Rollingwood
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Hours: 20 guaranteed hours per week
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Pay: $35 to $40 per hour
Requirements:
- Current COVID, Tdap, MMR, and flu vaccinations
- Reliable personal vehicle for transporting the toddler to and from activities
