Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist with bussing tables promptly, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently to support smooth service flow.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, and food items following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Support food service operations by serving guests with professionalism and friendly communication skills, ensuring their needs are met with enthusiasm.
- Participate in food handling procedures, including proper storage, preparation support, and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks effectively and deliver seamless service.
- Contribute to kitchen maintenance tasks such as cleaning utensils, equipment, and workstations to uphold sanitation standards (including daily/weekly sidework).
- Assist in setting up tables with proper tableware and ensuring a welcoming dining environment for guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles is highly desirable; restaurant experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
- Ability to perform manual labor; handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to serving, food handling, and kitchen operations will support your success in this role.
