Full Job Description:
We are hiring Dietary Aides for our Long Term Care facility. Your primary responsibilities will include serving appealing and nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of residents, while maintaining a pleasant and professional dining environment. Candidates must demonstrate reliability, ability to stand for extended periods, and capability to lift and move heavy items. The position will be working 4 days on followed by 2 days off in a rotation. The rate of pay is $12 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up dining areas ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Serve meals to residents at designated times
- Clean dining areas and collect trays
- Dispose of leftovers and handle garbage disposal
- Maintain cleanliness of food stations, wash dishes, cooking utensils, and silverware
- Monitor and restock ingredients, and oversee inventory levels
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and appliances
Skills Required:
- Previous experience as a dietary aide preferred
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- Ability to follow meal preparation instructions accurately
- Proficient in operating kitchen equipment and appliances
- Friendly demeanor with strong communication skills
- Good physical stamina and ability to meet job demands
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is beneficial
Experience:
Six months of experience in institutional food preparation or related fields is preferred.
