Job Summary
At Jax Dog Drop Riverdog, we’re not your average dog daycare, we’re a community built on tail wags, teamwork, and a genuine love for every pup that walks through our doors. Our facility offers 4 spacious indoor playgroups and 2 outdoor play yards where dogs can safely romp, play, and make new friends.
We’re Growing Our Team! We’re looking to add both full-time and part-time Dog Handlers who are flexible, reliable, and love working with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities.
Available Roles: Full-time & Part-time
Shifts: Can start as early as 5:30 a.m. and go as late as 8:00 p.m.
Days: Weekdays and weekends
Availability: Flexibility is key!
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and actively engage with dog playgroups to ensure safe, positive interactions
- Monitor dog behavior, energy levels, and social dynamics throughout the day
- Perform frequent and thorough cleaning throughout the day, including cleaning up after potty breaks, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and disinfecting surfaces to prevent the spread of illness
- Feed dogs, manage crating and rest/nap times, and provide enrichment activities
- Communicate with clients and teammates with professionalism, clarity, and care
- Check dogs in and out and accurately track daily routines in our system
What We’re Looking For:
- True dog lovers who value safety, structure, and positive play
- Team players who can also work independently and stay focused
- Reliable, consistent, physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stay on your feet for several hours
- Maintain a clean, organized environment in kennels and animal handling areas
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Available on weekends and holidays (holiday pay provided!)
- Must be dependable, energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal welfare
- Basic dog handling knowledge or prior experience in animal care is a big plus
