Job Overview
We here at Retro Game Vault are looking to Possibly hire another person onto out team. The main objective is to help out whatever the customers in the store need, as well as handling incoming and outgoing trade-ins on a daily basis. Extremely important qualities include having a terrific attention to detail, the ability to adapt to situations that change with the market, and the ability to be authentic to a fault. This job sounds straightforward, but I promise it's much more in depth than the average retail job. Our team survives on trust, responsibility, and the ability to read a situation, and decern if the rules should be enforced, or bent.
Responsibilities
- Greet everyone as they walk in, help then while they browse, and acknowledge them as they leave
- Learn to master a simple Point of sale system, and be able to be efficient and accurate with every transaction.
- Be able to accurately find the true value of an item, and predict how much time and effort is needed to refurbish said item for sale.
- Be able to distinguish authentic items from their reproduction counterparts, as well as the ability to look for small intricate details that can effect the value of trade-ins
- Maintain composure and positive experience with all customers, no matter how much you may disagree with their opinions
- Have at least a baseline level of product knowledge and the ability to adapt and troubleshoot problems that may happen with software and hardware.
- Stock, Organize, and alphabetize products out for sale, and acknowledge what items we are running low on and need to restock.
- Be authentic, talk like a human being, no customer service voice, no fake face you would expect to put on for most retail jobs.
- Be able to separate work life from personal life, there is no reason to take emotions and expectations home with you. This job has emotional highs and lows and mental health is important. Be 100% invested in the stores success on the clock.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is greatly preferred, Both with and/or without experience with other video game stores
- Previous experience in customer service, especially with a need to troubleshoot.
- The ability to be confidently bilingual in both Spanish and English is a HUGE plus. it is not necessarily mandatory, But it is a significant help.
- Must have experience with maintaining a very strong professional attitude with all walks of life, our customer base is a wide range of personalities, and treating everyone, young to old, with the same respect is crucial
- Baseline Knowledge of video games. History, the companies associated, major franchises, ECT. I can fill in the blanks, but I need a base of knowledge to work with. more experience is better, but not mandatory

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
