The CSR/Cashier is responsible for providing genuine customer service by: generating sales, maintaining a clean and organized store image, delivering products with valid driver’s license, merchandising, pricing, cash register operations/Point of Sale (EPOS) and loss prevention in adherence with all Company/Store policies including brand and image standards.
Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer entering the store, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service. This includes transactions via delivery service.
Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash at EPOS registers.
Maintain an awareness of all the products that are on monthly promotions, sale merchandise and advertisements.
Maintain all floor display arrangements according to latest plan-o-grams, display maintenance, merchandising and store housekeeping. Follow all procedures for coffee, fountain and food service areas.
Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise (back stock).
Adhere to all store policies, procedures, and practices including loss prevention.
Communicate any customer suggestions, concerns, or complaints to the manager.
Perform seasonal duties as needed: including shoveling of snow on walkways and around pumps and car wash entrance/exit, as well as painting of curbs, poles and other exterior and interior surfaces.
Any other duties assigned by management.
Process information/merchandise through EPOS cash register system, including: retrieving reports, processing credit card transactions, and operating lottery machine.
Process transactions at the customers home/business. Properly handle cash sales as well as credit card transactions.
Communicate clearly with customers and interact with other employees in a team environment.
Prioritize tasks that need to get done in a short period of time while still providing fast and friendly customer service.
React calmly in the event of an emergency situation.
Read, count, and write to accurately complete shift reports.
Freely access all areas of the store including coolers, stock areas, and register area.
Work in cold conditions for long periods of time while stocking and cleaning the cooler.
Operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
Move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours.
Work varied hours/days including holidays and weekends.
