Horvath Vision Care is a medical-based optometry practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We don’t just sell glasses; we provide personalized vision solutions, specialized contact lens fittings, dry eye treatments, and comprehensive medical eye care. We are a close-knit, team-oriented practice where staff are cross-trained, valued, and encouraged to grow professionally. We are currently looking for a motivated and professional Optician to join our Vision Solutions & Retail Operations Team.
Role Summary
As an Optician at Horvath Vision Care, you are the expert in frame and lens selection. You will act as a consultant, aligning personalized vision solutions with each patient's lifestyle needs while ensuring department profitability and operational efficiency. You will play a key role in ensuring our patients leave with the best possible vision correction products, feeling educated and cared for.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Consultation: Provide personalized eyewear consultations, pinpointing specific needs and creating solutions customized for individual lifestyles.
- Lens Technology Education: Educate patients on premium lens technology (e.g., Stellest, Maui Jim, Oakley) and how these options solve specific vision complaints.
- Insurance Navigation: Explain complex insurance benefits clearly and proactively to ensure patients understand their coverage and costs.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure order accuracy, maintain showroom standards, and manage frame inventory to ensure our display reflects the latest and greatest in eyewear trends.
- Team Collaboration: Lead by example with a positive attitude. Support the broader practice by being cross-trained and ready to assist in various department needs (such as front desk support) as needed to maintain seamless patient flow.
- Professionalism: Maintain a clean lab/workspace and adhere to a strict focus on work during business hours.
Qualifications
- Reliability: You are consistently on time and ready to work when clocked in. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-5:00pm, every other Saturday from 7:45 am-12:00pm. Saturday hours worked per employee is typically one per month.

Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive Pay: $20.00–$28.00/hour (commensurate with experience).
