Job Summary
The Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing the company's daily financial transactions related to customer payments and vendor payments. This position ensures accurate recording of incoming and outgoing funds, timely payment of invoices, account reconciliation, and effective collection efforts to maintain healthy cash flow and accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Post and apply customer payments accurately to accounts.
- Reconcile credit card payments and investigate discrepancies.
- Generate and distribute customer statements.
- Monitor outstanding balances and perform collection activities on past-due accounts.
- Maintain accurate customer account records.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status.
Accounts Payable
- Collect, review, and organize vendor invoices for payment processing.
- Schedule payments based on vendor statements and invoice due dates.
- Prepare, process, and mail checks or other forms of payment.
- Verify invoice accuracy and obtain appropriate approvals.
- Maintain vendor files and payment records.
- Resolve vendor inquiries regarding payment status and account balances.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
