Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead School Age Teacher to inspire and guide children in our school-age program. This role is vital in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing innovative curriculum plans, implementing assessment-driven instruction, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity and growth. Responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic curriculum plans aligned with developmental milestones, state standards, and individual student needs.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technology tools to track student progress and facilitate instruction.
- Conduct ongoing student assessments to evaluate academic performance, social-emotional development, and behavioral progress.
- Develop and execute targeted academic interventions within Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks to support diverse learners.
- Manage classroom environments effectively through strong classroom management techniques, conflict resolution, and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, instructional strategies, and data analysis to improve student outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations and standards while fostering an inclusive environment that supports children with special needs or disabilities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and other core subject areas.
- Support students’ social skills development through conflict management techniques and behavior support strategies.
- Use quantitative analysis for student progress evaluation to inform instructional adjustments and ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching school-age children in an early childhood or elementary setting; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, assessment-driven instruction, and instructional design.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and library services relevant to young learners.
- Experience working with students with disabilities or special education needs; familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is preferred.
- Ability to analyze student performance data for instructional planning and academic advising purposes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students’ families.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with conflict management expertise.
- Familiarity with educational compliance standards and regulations governing early childhood education programs.
- Passion for working with children, tutoring experience preferred; childcare or preschool experience is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive learning environment.
