Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to uphold health and safety standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and food storage spaces through regular cleaning routines.
- Support catering and banquet setups by organizing supplies, preparing ingredients, and ensuring timely service.
- Buss tables by clearing dishes, resetting tables efficiently, and assisting servers as needed to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all food-related activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail-oriented work ethic.
- Willingness to learn new skills such as cooking techniques or advanced food prep methods.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues during high-pressure situations.
